Any NYIG Group that has a Remote Meeting Listing included here:
We’re removing our current Remote Meeting Listings system, and moving Remote Meeting Listings into our In-Person Meeting Listings system. Our goal is to have a single, combined Meeting Listings system.
If your group would like your Remote Meeting Listing(s) to continue to be listed with NYIG, please fill out this form.
The deadline for letting us know that your Remote Meeting Listing should remain listed with NYIG is:
Our In-Person and Remote Meeting Listings run on two different kinds of software. Going forward, it’ll be easier and more cost effective to manage all listings using a single software. There’s also the bonus of having our Remote Meeting Listings appear on the Meeting Guide app, and being able to use the enhanced search and filter capabilities that our In-Person Meeting Listings offer.
We’ll also be restricting our Remote Meeting Listings to groups that are registered with NYIG.
Q: I like the ability to see separate lists of In-Person and Remote meetings, will that be going away?
A: Nope! Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to access the two different lists, as we offer currently.
Q: What happens if my group doesn’t let you know by the deadline of February 2, 2022?
A: We’ll still accept requests after that date, but we aim to remove access to the old listings system after February 2.
Q: Were NYIG groups involved in the decision to make this change?
A: The plan to make these changes was discussed and approved at the NYIG Delegates Meeting on September 11, 2021.
Q: We’d like our remote meetings to remain in NYIG’s Remote Meeting Listings, how can I check if our group is registered with NYIG?
A: After filling out this form, we’ll be in touch if your group is not registered with NYIG.
Q: Our group only has in-person meetings, what do we need to do?
A: Nothing, this only affects groups with remote meeting listings.
