In accordance with our mission to help the alcoholic who still suffers, we’ve added another way to access assistance. We’ve integrated webchat into the NYIG. Users can reach volunteers to answer questions, get meetings times, or find other information. Webchat appears on all NYIG web pages while operators are available. You may move among pages on the website and remain connected. At the end of chat, we ask that you take a moment and complete the brief survey that is linked. Your feedback is important to us.

Chats are periodically cleared to ensure efficiency and confidentiality.
The chat feature will only appear on the website when there are volunteers available to staff it. We encourage anyone with 1 year of continuous sobriety who would like volunteer to contact. No! Phone volunteer service is helpful, but we recognize that those who are comfortable answering phones are not necessarily those who will be comfortable interacting via text and vice versa.
