Faithful Fivers are members of the A.A. fellowship that choose to make recurring monthly contributions to NYIG. These pledges support NYIG’s continued effort to carry the A.A. message of recovery and hope to alcoholics who still suffer from alcoholism in the Greater New York City Area. The suggested monthly contribution is $5.00. (Quarterly, $20, or Annually, $60)

The Pink Can is a way for groups to collect spare change for the purchase of AA literature for those who are confined or hospitalized. It is a request for additional contributions, in the same way some groups pass the 7th Tradition basket. Typically, it is an empty coffee can wrapped in pink paper—an idea developed nearly 60 years ago.
A Corrections and Treatment Facilities Committee (“CTFC”) Literature Fund contribution is one that is made specifically to support the CTFC’s effort to distribute A.A. literature to alcoholics in prisons, hospitals and detoxes. Several thousands of dollars of A.A. literature is brought into institutions in the Greater New York City area each month by the NYIG CTFC committee. Your contribution to this fund makes that possible.
